The Brummana High School Old Scholars Association (BHS OSA) brings together the school’s former students of different ages, backgrounds and interests under the school’s motto “I SERVE”. The OSA is dedicated to promoting and advancing the school’s interests, and to keeping old scholars connected to the school and to each other. Today, the Association unites thousands of members across the globe.
The Brummana High School Old Scholars Association members are graduates and/or former students who attended at least two years of high school. The association also welcomes school teachers and administrators. Today, old scholars are found in the highest diplomatic, political, business and artistic ranks throughout Lebanon, the Middle East and the world.
The Brummana High School Old Scholars Association, through continuous networking, ensures that members stay connected with each other and with the school by a series of social activities, class reunions, regional chapter meetings, online services and an annual international convention that is held on the school premises every summer.
The Brummana High School Old Scholars Association is a non-profit organization, officially registered in Lebanon under Ministerial Decree No. 176. In addition to the Lebanon chapter, which is the largest, the association has regional chapters in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Jordan, as well as international chapters in Europe, the United States and Canada.
The Brummana High School Old Scholars Association members constitute a General Assembly that elects the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee elects a president for a period of three years, and appoints sub-committees responsible for various activities, such as community and membership, events, fundraising, and sports.
The current president of the Brummana High School Old Scholars Association and its Executive Committee is Mr. Nazih Khattar (BHS 1966).
